Innovation Boot Camp and a lot of useless pictures

So all year 1s from School of Business from NYP were made to come back to school for 2 days for this innovation boot camp which is compulsory as it'll give us one credit! It was held last Thursday and Friday. We were all complaining about how it's a waste of time..They tried to play some music to hype things up but it was little fail lol.  The first day was really torture as it was lectures all the way! I shall flood this blog post with pictures!

Nothing much interesting happened during the first day except that me,Monica and Nadia were too hungry and we sneaked out during a lecture to get food. Not really proper food. I stuffed down 2 kinder bueno bars and one packet of pizza pretz before gobbling down one plate of chicken rice for lunch.. I'm quite amazed by my own appetite since poly started. It's like I'm going through second puberty LOL.

We ended at 6pm and we were expected to come up with power point slides as we had a presentation the next day. So everything was super impromptu,we discussed through whatsapp and did the power point slides that very night. I am very amazed by our speed.

So introducing to you.. Squeezy Clean! (JinMei is a brillant artist) The bristles are changeable according to your likes and preferences. Some people prefer softer bristles while some prefers harder ones. Further more,it's more environmentally friendly as you only throw away the bristles every 3 months. In addition,our main focus is actually on the automatic dispense toothpaste! You can put the cartridge in the toothbrush and press a button and toothpaste will be dispensed out automatically! It's very convenient if you are going to travel as you don't have to bring toothpaste with you.

The lectures on day 1 were really boring to the extent that Baoyi slept.. LOLOLOL

 Started the day 2 with some photo taking! The :O WHAT THE HECK are we doing here again?!

 I miss my clear face! My face is currently congested with pimples! :( Oh,and we were irritated with the person behind because she photobombed us and no idea if she's hiding her face on purpose LO

Day 2!

We then headed to a tutorial room to touch up our presentation and then Junwei got sent to our group because there's only 2 people in his group LOL. We've been craving for Mcdonlad breakfast so we ( Me,Monica,HuiXian and Jinmei) decided to go to the ''toilet.'' We had our brunch and were thinking of all sorts of excuse to tell our teacher hahahaha. ''Oh we went to the toilet and decided to get some hot tea before coming back..''

'' Wah you all very smart hor go toilet go until Mcdonald.'' HAHAHHA so me Huixian and Monica skipped lunch as we were feeling full! And we camwhored using M' macbook inside the tutorial room and it was the best part of the camp I swear.

ILO ILO

Watched ILO ILO with Heidi on Wednesday and we didn't managed to catch the 2.35pm show and instead we went for the 4.55pm show! Meaning we had roughly 2 whole hours to spare before the movie. We decided to just go to Coffee Bean to chill.

 

Chilling with my favorite Morrocean Mint Tea Latte! Shared it with Heidi and both of us were feeling super bloated after the drink! Really wonder how I managed to finish the drink all my myself during work! 

Tried to take a picture of this girl because she was REALLY chilling with a book and food in a cafe plus her plaid shirt and beanie really reminds me of those hippies in New York. So,I tried to take photo of her because I feel that it's pretty instagram worthy and guess what? I forgot to switch off my flash. #fml

I think it's a movie pretty worth watching especially if you got a maid at home! I personally prefer this movie to the girl in pinafore as it's really heartwarming and very realistic! I would rate this movie around 7.5/10

Wimbly Lu Cafe Trip

Went to Wimbly Lu cafe with Saras and Vaithieis yesterday! Met Saras and we headed to Serangoon MRT station to wait for Vaithieis as she's coming from Temasek Poly after her last paper!

I think I saw him sitting down at the MRT Station but I'm not sure but the side view and hairstyle was so similar and I wanna make sure if it's him so me and Saras walked back again but I had no guts to look so yeah.. but my mood was kinda dampened.

Anyway this is what Vaithieis and I ordered first! Saras ordered fries and nuggets!

Seafood and Cheese toasty melts. Not much of a wow. The fillings were so-so.

And after that I ordered classic hot chocolate and flourless chocolate cake with caramel sauce.

 I'm not much of a chocolate person but I thought I'll give the cake a go because it looks so good on instagram! I highly recommend it for chocolate lovers! You guys would definitely love this! The caramel sauce tasted so perfect with the cake,it has the right type of combination. However,my mouth is kinda dry after finishing the cake! It's a super wrong choice to order 2 chocolate items.. I couldn't finish my classic hot chocolate as it was too chocolatey for me..

Sara's waffle with chocolate icecream and Vaithieis's chai latte and rootbeer cake with icecream! I had a go at the chai latte and both Vaithieis and Saras laughed at my expression after I drank it.. I thought it would be very nice and taste somewhat like vanilla green tea but I hated the taste so much LOL. The rootbeer cake really had rootbeer taste,very interesting to the tastebuds I would say.

I think this cafe is worth paying a visit as the ambiance is really great and the ceiling is made of glass which means you can see platters of raindrops on the ceiling after a heavy downpour and sunlight seeping in the afternoon but it gets painfully annoying when you're trying to take photos of your food. The service is pretty good too and the price is pretty affordable! Around $5/6 for the cakes as well as drinks!

D' Good Cafe

Went to D'good cafe with Denise the other time but it was crowded so I went with my childhood buddy Syafiqah! It's been so many months since we last hung out!

HAHAHHA this is the lift of D'good cafe! It's actually 3 levels high and I was afraid to go in at first but this lift is super cool! Like so high-tech and it's like transporting to another planet! HAHAH maybe I noob but oh well.. it's a very cool lift. Okay it's just a lift. But still cool. So this is me with a tourist pose lolololol.

On the way,I kept telling Syafiqah I wanted the swings so damn bad. Maybe deprived childhood or something but .... the swings were taken by this couple and this lady... *heart breaks into a million pieces*

So we decided to order our food first and wait at the same time!

This is my Cafe Mocha and I am SO DISAPPOINTED that my coffee art is not an animal!!!!! Instead it's this typical boring leaf like thing!! WHY!! AM I NOT CUTE ENOUGH FOR THE BARISTA ??? :(( Anyway my conclusion after trying so many espresso-based beverages is that... I still prefer the taste of 3-in-1 coffee LOL.

Bacon Cabonara!!!! Syafiqah was like,"Got chicken,got seafood you don't want order. Must purposely order bacon one right'' (tone in a joking manner)But I really didn't order this on purpose. I'm really not a seafood person and chicken is too mainstream for pasta so I thought I'll go for this! I normally wouldn't order this with my other Muslim friends but Syafiqah and I know each other for many years so i think she will understand I'm not disrespecting her or anything. Just genuinely want to try this dish.

 
This photo a bit spoil cause I stirred my cafe mocha already. The waitress told me need to wait 40-45 mins but ... I didn't wait that long. She indirectly caused the artistic level of my photo to go down. I stirred my coffee because I thought the waiting time will be super long... I hate her. LOLOLOL.

And then we were waiting for the swings and when the couple got up,I thought they were leaving and I kind of exclaim,''FASTER FASTER GO TAKE OUR BAGS AND GO.'' Turns out they weren't even leaving. Just stretching or some shit. :( And after a while,the lady beside them got off the swing and me being the most kanchiong Singaporean urged Syafiqah to RUSH over with our bags first HAHAHA. But I'm so ecstatic we got the swing!!

After our meals,we got the lady(kinda feel bad for disturbing her date hahaha) to take some pictures for us!

After that we head to orchard central to get my films because I have no more left. And I met very cute tourists! There were this teenage girl taking photo of the MRT sign and I think the dad was telling her not to be lame or something and she exclaimed'' IT'S AN MRT. IT IS A BIG DEAL.'' HAHAHA damn funny! I was so amused. And then in the MRT,a little girl(tourist also) was like'' DADDY! WE'VE GOT A SEAT.'' And the dad replied,''Well done.'' I don't know why but I find the whole conversation so cute.

Oh yeah,and we kept boarding the wrong trains and we were suppose to alight at Somerset but we were too busy chatting and this train stopped at this station for a very long time. Kinda long lah like a few minutes and I was like,''Eh we reach Somerset already annot?'' ''No lah.'' ''EH WAIT WE ARE AT SOMERSET'' And we faster RAN out cause the train doors are going to close and it closed when we got out. Syafiqah's theory was that the train doors were opened for us. HAHHAA

Accompanied Syafiqah to United Square to have her Sogurt! United Square brings back so much memories because I used to frequent that mall while I was working in Pacific Law Corp! That indie busker is still singing at the underpass! I miss his voice dearly. He plays the type of music I would want to hear at an old school cafe.

Life as a retail assistant

Hi guys!!! Hadn't really been updating because I was busy with work and guess what? I'm finally done with work yesterday! (which is 1 september) Hmm I was working at Singapore Expo as a retail assistant and basically what I do is fold men's formal shirts and arrange them lol. There's six wagons so there's me,Priya(my Australian but migrated to SG friend),Priya's friend WenXuan( future dentist lol) and Monica(my half korean friend).

I started work on Sunday and it was just so busy that I don't feel like working anymore but I still did persevere on though! Work is actually quite fun when we fool around and chit chat with each other. There's a lot of self proclaimed breaks and we go to the toilets frequently and walk around the Singapore Expo randomly sometimes.

I like it best when good music turns on and Monica and me would randomly do little dances and skips and sing along. It makes me delirious.

There was this day we found out our pay was actually $6 instead of $7 and it was really a moment of horror for all of us as it's super little,just enough to cover our transport and food and maybe we'll earn around $30 after deducting everything? We were so so so pissed off that day.

Singaporeans are really troublesome and rude. (not all but some) It secretly makes me want to stick a fork up their asses or pour some bird shit substance over their head. I don't think I'm suitable to be in the customer line. Definitely not patient enough. On the appearance I might be calm,but inside I was spouting so much vulgarities. Uncouth for a girl,I know. But I HAVE TO do that to dissipate all those bundle of anger in me.

Yes,there's nice customers who say thank you and stuff but there are really horrible ones too. Like there are some who talk to you in that tone of voice,'' I'M THE CUSTOMER IM THE BOSS YOU LOWLY SALESGIRL'' and there's also the type that asks a million questions before deciding to buy. Some will ask you the price even when it's stated clearly on the board but I understand lah because I do that sometimes to double confirm too. Also got those type that will ransack and ransack like it's their house and rip out all the plastics and make it look like a flea market. Gosh,get a grip and think of US! The poor people that has to clean up your shit.

So life was a routine. Waking up and taking a bus 969 to Tampiness Bus Interchange and then taking to MRT to the expo. Then countdown to when work will end as well as going for self proclaimed breaks and folding and buttoning clothes. And then I'll take the super long bus ride home from Changi Airport to Yishun before taking 804 home.

Those long bus rides sometimes make me very emotional. There are so much thoughts running from Changi Airport Terminal 3 all the way to Yishun Interchange. There are times I pondered over what do I really want from life and sometimes I get terrified thinking of work life. Sometimes I get this tired numb feeling whereby I'm too tired to feel anything and.. most of the times it's this hollow empty feeling of missing someone,a strong desire to go back to a time when I felt really loved and happy. There's a little voice telling you to come back,come back. If only time could turn around and I was mature enough to make the right choices. Each time I try to brush that feeling off,it becomes back faster,stronger to the extent I gave up fighting it and just let myself completely submerged in my own melancholy.

Bought all these during work. LOL talk about shopping during work. It's like $20 for all of these and they are all brand new!! I do believe they are worth more than $60 in total! I used to read a lot but then I stopped because I neither have the time or energy. Finished half of ''Thanks for the memories'' and it's pretty good!!
