Christmas Eve and Christmas 2013

I know my posts are getting lesser and lesser but it's because I'm becoming more and more lazy! Even on Dayre which is suppose to be very convenient for blogging,I tend to procrastinate and not blog on the day itself hehe. For those who follow on Dayre,you can skip this post because I would basically be posting the same photos!

Christmas Eve

 Celebrated my Christmas eve with my secondary school friends at Pasir Ris park! It's a tradition for PuayLin and Jianxing and me to come here every year but Yunxuan joined us this year! The more the merrier!

Before we went to Pasir Ris park,it was raining and I'm like FML because I really want to go cycling and I thought we would end up watching a movie but thank god the rain cleared up! We had Pizza Hut at Northpoint beforehand!

That is PL's chicken pasta on the top and YX's prawn pasta on the left and my turkey bacon cabonara on the right! JianXing didn't eat because he was sick and broke. #badluckjx

I think this deserves another mention because I always order this at Pasta Mania even though people find it cheesy but this.. at Pizza Hut,is DA SEXZ MAN. It's worth every penny. My plate is sparkling clean that day. For those who love bacon or likes cheese,you all should totally order this!!

It's damn fun to cycle with friends except that I'm always the last hehehe. YX and PL rented the couple bike cause YX don't know how to cycle and I was like shouting,''Biene,Oppa!'' It means sorry,sweetheart in Hangul because it reminds me of scenes in dramas. It's damn funny cause we were pretending that YX and JX were the main casts and PL and me were the workers. And my voice would always trail behind because I cycle super slow HAHAHA. and they will turn behind occasionally to rush me and check on me if i'm lost or anything

Basically this is it! A little history about our friendship! JianXing and I were from the same primary school but we weren't friends at all and have never been in the same class,maybe except mother tongue during some years. All four of us were in the same class during lower secondary and that's how we met and the three of them were in the same class for 4 years except me. I was in another class during upper sec (miserable times I wouldn't want to recall actually). So grateful to have them in my life,5 years already! I know next year we won't have much chance to meet up as both PL and JX will be taking their A levels. :((

Drumlets and softshell crabs. Personally I don't like eating drumlets in restaurents because it's not shiok and I have to use my utensils. I prefer eating with my hands. But must act yi ge sophisticated what. LOLOLOL. Yay soft shell crabs! The first time I eat was with my drama friends and I even asked JinKheng,''How to take out the meat ah?'' LOLOLOL I didn't know you can eat everything on its own.

This is Liying's pasta. Wanted to order this at first but I had pasta the day before so I decided not to. Had a bite and I thank god I didn't order this because it tastes like olive oil. ~.~

Both Vetina and I ordered this! The chips were kinda dry for me and the chicken chop was okay I suppose,nothing special. 

So this basically sums up my christmas!!

Painful to know you could actually doubt that friendship. If only you could just let go of hatred and forgive people,life would be so much easier. And I tried so hard this year to make it up to you,even defending you when he said really nasty stuff about you at the expense of our whatsapp conversation in the coldest atmosphere and all I got back was doubts. 

Why can't everyone just get along peacefully?Or must I really lose that one friend in order to have peace in my life? It upsets me to know that I am causing someone so much misery and it was never my intention to. 

You might feel hurt but please understand that there are circumstances for me to. He hates you. I have no fucking idea why. And the other party wants to cut all ties with you since 2009. What am I suppose to do? Pull you into some fake pretentious friendship? 

I tried to be friends because I know how it feels like to feel so abandoned and so hateful towards people all the time because that was how I felt in 2007. All chained up and miserable. 

Find forgiveness and let go of hatred and I hope you will be happier. You might find this post bloody pretentious but I mean every single fucking word I said. 

Truth is out

The truth will set you free but first it will piss you off. 

Never in my life,I've met someone this scheming. Pushing people down to get where you want to go. I'm glad I had that conversation with him because the truth is out. 

You have never treated me as friend. All along I was one of your chess pieces,a tool to defend yourself.You told me he was immature but you are even more. I have lost all respect and trust towards you. 

I may be younger than you,but it doesn't mean you have the right to manipulate me this way. I hope someday you will realize how stupid your actions are and remember karma is a bitch,it will come back and bite you harder than you can ever imagine.

Thanks for teaching me a lesson about trust and I hope you can sleep well at night without your conscience pricking you. 

Whoever say time heals must not have lost someone before. Either that they didn't love the person hard enough. 

Went to your blogger profile and realized you've deleted your blogs. All of them. Now I have no traces of you left. I miss you.

A note for you.

They say,once in a lifetime,you'll meet a very special person in your life. I don't know if you're the one but.. you're the only one that can bring me all these emotions. Guilt,pain,regret,sorrow,comfort,reassurance.

Us being strangers,or just ''friends'',it is inevitable. It is an irreversible process. We both grow along the years and understand that things can't go back no matter how badly we want to.

I wanted to talk to you badly but I don't know. Barriers oh barriers,I don't know how long much time it will take for that wall to be gone.

You'll always be someone special to me.

My 17th Birthday (Part 2)

Hi it's been a while! Too lazy to update but I shall just continue my birthday story.

21 October 2013 (The actual birthday)

I can't really remember what happened but it was a normal school day! A MONDAY. I had effective communication in the morning followed by Helen Tan's accounting tutorial and time really passed super slowly during her lesson. -_-

Anyway,after Helen's lesson was our lunch break and Huixian dragged me to the toilet and when I went back in the tutorial room,I saw cupcakes on the tables!! They are super pretty!! Thanks so much girls!!

Super pretty please!! It's from Deli-france if anyone is interested! I had the one with chocolate chips sprinkled on cream one! It was super yummy! Didn't have lunch because I was too full from the cupcake and I wasn't feeling that well due to indigestion!

Must have been awfully blessed.Syafiqah booked me for dinner and she told me she was suppose to meet her customer at Serangoon but turns out it was a surprise from my beloved primary school friends!

My 17th Birthday (Part 1)

Hi ya all! Hadn't been updating cause I was busy with school! Anyway I had my 17th birthday on 21st October and I had a few celebrations which I'm going to share with you guys! I will be splitting this blogpost into 2 parts because it will be too long!

The first celebration was on 19th October,a Saturday. My friends and I actually planned a birthday surprise for Yunxuan because her birthday falls on the 17th!So we decided to go to JianXing's house to eat pineapple rice (as an excuse.)But ends up PuayLin and JianXing surprised me and Yinghui too cause our birthdays are coming soon!

'' Happy Birthday... to yunxuan. Happy Birthday to you!'' ''And then they brought out another cake from the kitchen!

So here's a family like portrait. Left to right: (PuayLin,JianXing,Yinghui,Yunxuan and me) They are actually my lower sec classmates and Yinghui is Yunxuan's older sister! She also used to be my cousin's ex secondary school classmate!

Here's a close up view of the hazelnut cake! I didn't have it because I was kind of full from the pineapple rice and the oreo cheesecake!

 

Oreo cheesecake! This is really yummy to me as there's a crunchy cookie like layer at the end of the cake! The cheesecake just practically melts in your mouth and it just tasted perfect. 

I swear this JianXing is SUPER EVIL. He suddenly requested to take a photo with me and I agreed without hesitation. Turns out I HAD CHOCOLATE ALL OVER MY TEETH. It's too unglam to be posted here LOLOLOL.

After that,I went off early to meet Jiawen for a short catch up session at Northpoint.

20 October(Pre birthday eve)

Met up with Nadia,Monica and Priya because they've booked me for a cafe date during the holidays! It was also a Sunday.

I've met up with Priya first because Monica and Nadia went to Group Therapy to book seats first!

The one with the super bright smile and in maroon cardigan is Nadia! Behind her the girl with curly long hair is Monica. That's me opposite Monica and the one in a sophisticated updo and red lipstick is Priya! ^^

I had grilled ham and cheese panini! The salad tasted really good! I don't really eat vegetables most of the times but it was so delicious due to the fact they added sprinkled peanuts(kind of reminded me of rojak) and the sauce was a really perfect combination with the vegetables! The chips were so-so but I think I definitely prefer Mr Pringles chips HAHAHA. A bit bland and dry. I don't really like to have chips to go with proper food. The panini is like pancakes with fillings inside. There's mushrooms and ham! And also this weird veggie(not really veggie,like this leaf spice thingy which i don't know what it actually is) inside the panini which spoils the panini but the taste is bearable. I liked this meal but I don't like it enough to go back for this particular dish again.

Nadia ordered buttermilk waffles and Priya ordered chilli crab pie and Monica ordered steak pie. Monica was moaning about how she didn't like her pie but it tasted really good to all of us. I should have ordered her pie and she should have ordered my panini LOL.

Wanted to get the menu and more plain water and then Monica and Nadia went to get them. Turns out they bought a birthday cake for me!

It's my first time having carrot cake,not the chinese cai tau kuey but proper carrot cake! There's cheese cream on it too! Although the four of us share this slice of cake,we couldn't finish it because we were too full from our meals! :( 

A Causasian offered to help us take this! He saw Nadia taking for the three of us and just rendered his help! Really nice of him. Anyway it's like mixed ethnicity. Monica is half korean and I'm pure Singaporean and Priya used to be Australian and Nadia is chinese-malay(sort of). It's so cool how all of us are so different yet we can get along so well! They're my poly classmates from Nanyang Polytechnic! 

Here's a shot of Nad and me! Nad is the only one who calls me Zhil LOLOLOL. Pretty unique nickname if you ask me. All of them wore dresses that day! I should have worn a dress but I wanted to wear my new floral shorts. -_- 

As you guys have already seen the story on Instagram or Facebook,you might already know the epic story behind this photo. Around 8plus that night,I received a phone call from Jiawen and she told me to look outside my door. She told me she was standing outside. I ran out excitedly but I didn't see anyone or anything. I called her back and told her that. I thought she was just kidding and giving a birthday prank! ''I left a cake and a book on your shoerack! Don't have meh?'' ''Eh no leh. I'm serious.'' ''你不是住七楼meh?'' ''eh 不是啦！十楼!" ''omg faster run I left your cake and book there!!'' I laughed and ran to the 7th floor,finding a slice of birthday cake and a book on a stranger's shoerack! It's seriously so epic because Jiawen has been to my house so many times and she still can't remember the colour of my door. LOL I LAUGHED so hard that night. 

Didn't sleep well that night because I was a glutton and I finished the entire cake for fear that it will spoil by the next day and I only slept at 3am. -_- Suffered from indigestion..

Cloudy with a chance of meatballs // Department of Caffeine

Watched Cloudy with a chance of meatballs with Shahira on Monday. I'm not much of a cartoon person but this is a pretty light hearted movie,I would say!

The next day,headed out to Department of Caffeine with Syaf! Went to the red dot design museum to snap a few shots before heading to the cafe! Be warned,there is a lot of shots of me.. and me and me..

 Hadn't worn this dress for a long time so I dug it out and Syaf asked me to wear something ruggard so I threw in a denim vest in hope to make it more ''ruggard'' and I brought my hat out too and the end result is that I look like a tourist.

I love these 3 black and white candid pictures because they are real. I mean just look at my expressions. From disdain to blur to deliriously happy LOLOLOL. 

Buttermilk waffles with New Zealand Natural premium ice cream and blueberry compote // mango and fresh mint yoghurt smoothie. 

To be honest,the cafe interior design sucks.. and the waffles isn't really that nice. It's too hard and dry for my liking. I preffer those fluffy moist kind. The smoothie was good though,very chilling with a pinch of mint.
