Revisit of Habitat Coffee!

Scorching hot weather plus stockings = bits of me dying. So much for trying out a vintage look! Denise and I managed to find the cafe but.. damn,it was so crowded and the people at level 3 weren't even eating! Most of them were just chatting or studying and it kinda pisses me off because like wtf, I came all the way from Yishun. Pffft. Shall try my luck again next time on a weekday!

So in the end,Denise and I took a cab and we headed to Upper Thomson and I revisited Habitat Coffee and we were pathetically sitting in front of the window because there's no seats. And then we shifted to a big table to share with other people which I was kind of unhappy about because I hate sharing and it's just plain weird and awkward to eat with strangers. But in the end we shifted to our own private table at the top :>

I had a hard time deciding between cheesynara(the previous pasta I had when I visited in Feb/March) or Big Ben but I decided to try something new! I also ordered Cafe Latte but I must remind myself to order something with chocolate next time because expresso is too strong for me even with milk.

Holidays/That Girl in Pinafore/Shopping trip

Meow hi. It's officially holidays as of 21 August 2.30pm and I can't believe the semester break I've been yearning ever since June holidays is here. Anyway,I went to have Manhattan Fish with my friends after the paper ended.

I know it looks so good right!! The four of us couldn't finish it! Plus I had 6 Mcnuggets beforehand. Personally I didn't enjoy that meal cause it was kind of too heavy and oily for me.

And so the next day(which is yesterday),I went shopping with Heidi LOL. Shopped at town and bugis and I got myself a new iphone5 case which I've been looking for a long time and I absolutely adore it! I also got myself a new white top and my denim overall wooohooo.

Actually not really that pretty but I guess I just like Chanel and the clean sleek look it gives.

This is the model for my denim overall LOL. The sales auntie keep convincing me to buy cause I like the overall but I'm afraid L size will be too big for me. ''Eh the model also wear L SIZE'' I seriously feel like telling her the model is pretty so no matter what size the model wear,she will look good in it. That's what a model is for what. And it looks good on the model doesn't mean it will look good on me what. But I GAVE IN in the end because I've been wanting to get a denim overall like this for ages and she said I could exchange within 3 days and she keep using sales person tactics and I'm like having post purchase dissonance LOL

LOL and a similar top as above. I'm sorry that the quality is like shit.

And yeah Heidi and me had lunch at this Bear Bites place near scape.

It was so horrible finding a decent seat because the weather is mad crazy around 3pm! It's open space which is really horrendous for people like me who can't stand the heat.

So this is me holding my burger. I know my eyes one big one small lah because I'm too tired then I will have uneven eyelids. -_-

 

So yeah,this is my combo set for $7.80. The cheese for the cheese fries need extra $1 but it's free of charge if you like their facebook page or follow their instagram for the first time. 

Anyway,actually it's nothing special lah. You just get to choose your patty,whether you want chicken fillet or fish fillet and you get to choose your bun flavor. Like there's curry,milk,strawberry and other more to choose from. And then you can choose your sauce,like mayonaise or honey mustard or cheese or what. I choose chicken fillet and curry bun and cheese sauce LOL.

I didn't really enjoy my meal because it's super difficult to eat a big burger if you have a small mouth and my cheese sauce is like dripping everywhere. Quite an unglam sight so thank god I went with a close friend who won't judge hahaha. And after eating my burger,I'm kinda full so I forced myself to finish at least half the fries so it won't go to waste. :< 

And I don't think I'm ever gonna eat at that place again.It is just a more unhealthy and cute version of subway. 

I look so tired. Must be the after effects of exams. :(

Anyway I caught this movie finally with YunXuan today! Been wanting to catch this but it's quite a disappointment because it wasn't as nice as I thought it would be. Maybe I kind of expected too much from it because I thought it will be better than Apple of my eye but sadly no... I hated the ending though. I hate melancholic endings LOL.

But yeah this is what attracted me to watch the show in the first place. This song. :)






 My favorite part of the movie was when the girl had an argument with her mum and she went and look for the male lead and there was this part where he cycled her. It was so so sweet. And also the part where she came to his house to stay and they were both lying on the bed,it's like so blissful can hahaha.

 Here's a picture of my cheesecake which I had today. Can't believe both me and YunXuan felt so exhausted today just by watching a movie and walking around!

Anyway,been addicted to Stephanie Sun's songs recently!It's all very old songs which I've heard on the radio last time but recently it really appeals to me. Here's one which I like!




    

Going to work with Priya and Monica at the Expo till 1 September which means I probably won't have the time to update for that week. Actually I want holidays to come so badly but it sucks at the same time when you don't have plans. I really hate to waste my time at home and the sad part is that JC people are busy mugging for their promos. And.. it's so hard to meet up with people as it's hard to arrange a date where everyone/both parties are free and sometimes I do wish people would make more effort.

Just some thoughts on death

Yesterday night,someone opposite my block committed suicide. Out of curiosity,I went and have a look together with my mum and younger brother. Nope,we didn't go down. We weren't that courageous. I could see the body from my blk. (Ps. I live at the 10th floor.)

There were speculations that it was a kid and he/she had accidentally fallen down. There were also assumptions he/she is an adult but I do not know. The body was too vague from my point of view.

You know in those typical mediacorp drama serials,they always showcase someone committing suicide and the family members/loved ones crying by the side? I always thought,''wah very pro,can cry until macham like the person really die like that.'' I could hear very loud crying from where I was(yeah the sound travel all the way up to the 10th floor). It was the kind of crying that felt so .. to be honest i don't know how to describe,like it literally shoots through your heart and makes you feel like crying together with the person,as though your tears could ease some of the pain. It felt so tragic,so heartbreaking,so hopeless. If you put the most veteran actor crying beside the person,I swear the veteran actor would be in shame.

There was someone pumping her heart non-stop and pretty soon there was a big crowd. Then the ambulance and police came.

I then found out from one of my seniors that the girl was her cousin's best friend. She's only sixteen.

Sixteen,imagine all these she didn't manage to experience yet. There's no chance to pull an all nighter for SS O levels,no chance to tell her friends she's nervous and feeling unprepared,no chance to experience JC/Poly life,no chance to marry Mr Right and have children or cuddle her grandchildren on rainy days and tell them bedtime stories. Everything gone when she plunged down.

I heard that she had fought with her mum beforehand and she was on the phone with her grandma and her grandma was rushing down to her house to persuade her not to do anything silly but she was too late. I also heard that she was adopted and was the only child and her ''father'' passed away 8 years ago. This means that the mother would be left all alone...

I have no right to judge her decision to end her life,be it of accumulated depression or a moment of impulse,I'm sure her actions has scarred many of her closed ones for life. It's definitely going to take a very very very long time to heal. Or maybe not in this lifetime.

Death felt so far away because we are all alive and breathing,living young and free. But when death is placed explicitly in your face,you will really reflect and think. Appreciate your friends and family and tell them I love you because you won't know when is the last time you can say that,anything could happen. Whatever you want to do,do it. Don't be afraid because on the brink of death,you can then tell yourself at least I didn't let myself down in this lifetime.

1)I'm a shopaholic! I love shopping and I can never get enough of buying clothes! I love retail therapy although it's really bad for my wallet. I also buy a lot of useless knickknacks like notebooks which I don't even use most of the times and accessories like earrings and necklaces. 2)I LOVE visiting cute cafes! There's just something special about spending your entire day in a cafe with good ambiance,sipping your coffee away and catching up with your friends.

3)I love food and fashion photography. But I don't own a DSLR. :( I love taking pictures of my food and my outfits hahahah. I love visiting lookbook for fashion inspiration and I follow a lot of people on Instagram who post regularly about food and fashion!

Hari Raya 2013 (No idea what to caption)

I am a bundle of tired cells,ready to collapse on my bed anytime. But I shall blog because I'm afraid I'll forget whatever that has happened today.

I wanted to wear that skirt which I bought when I was out with Jiawen but then I changed my mind because there's no proper tops to match it with so ... in the midst of changing,my skirt dropped and there's a green bottle on the floor and some unknown substance landed on my skirt. It then occurred to me... it's not plain water because why would my mum place plain water in a green bottle in a toilet..

To my horror,my skirt...

fucking discolored by the bleach. The unknown substance is bleach which my mum used to clean the toilet bowl. FML. I only worn it once to school before. Totally rage mode today.

Anyway,the POH LI LOW NEO clique is supposed to watch The Girl In Pinafore today at Junction 8 but when I checked there's only one seat left so we ended up not queuing and we quickly made our way to NEX because there's seats supposedly from what I checked but we ended up not watching because all the seats were taken up in the end. :(

and so we had our lunch at Hot Tomato after empty trips and a super long discussion where to eat. The set for $3.50. The mushroom soup was kind of diluted,not really up to standard.

Anyway,something super epic happened! JianXing sat on a puddle of water! He sat down on his chair before exclaiming out loud! HAHAHHAHA it was so damn epic. He only realized when his pants absorbed the water! I even saw some waiters snickering!

 

My baked rice on the left while YunXuan's baked rice is on the right. I totally had no idea I was ordering baked rice. I thought it was some roast chicken meat piece. :( 

This was taken using JianXing's S4. The pasta is PuayLin's while the mixed grill is JianXing's. I swear it looked super delicious! Totally going to try it the next time I have my meal at Hot Tomato!

And then we shopped around and took photos at this sky park place where there's kids playing with water and a doggy playgrounds for dogs LOL.

ACJC play

Had dinner with John,Gerald(or Francis,I have no idea what to call him. Sometimes I call him Francis and sometimes I call him Gerald) and JinKheng at Singapore Poly. Singapore Poly is so beautiful(I have no idea what descriptive word to use) as compared to NYP! And everyone there is so well dressed and I think lazy sloths like me will be judged badly since I like to wear just a T-shirt with denim shorts to school.

Anyway,they had subway while I ordered KFC and something epic happened.

Me:''Coke.''
Cashier:''Oh you mean pepsi.''

LOL fml seriously I didn't know I was drinking pepsi all my life when I ordered KFC.

We got lost on the way to ACJC. Alighted at Buona Vista and we stopped at this road junction and we tried to find our way there using google map. We wanted to cab there because time was running out but the cab rejected us. In the end we asked the security guard and we ran all the way to ACJC.

Wanted to head for supper with them but it was kinda late already and I don't think mama would be too happy about me reaching home late. Had a good night out nevertheless.
