Online Shopping - A Bad Experience


 This is a blogpost to rant about a really bad experience I had with online shopping. Do not continue if you are looking for something humorous or entertaining.

I'm sure most of you have done online shopping before right? Especially girls since shopping is in our genes. There's so many different choices to choose from and you can shop without physically going to a shop. It's very convenient.

Recently I have purchased a knitted cardigan and a plaited dress from a person through an online shopping application Carousell. My best friend wen purchased a black maxi dress on the other hand. That seller was recommended by Wen's friend M. I thought everything will be fine as I have done online shopping before. Be it DIY charms,CDs or apparels,I've bought them with no troubles faced. In fact,I have even sold phone covers and a book through that online application before.

I have a party to attend next week so I decided to collect myself as the party is next Friday and Wen's dress will only be ready next Friday. I arranged a meet up with her but I couldn't make it yesterday as I had plans. Hence,I whatsapped her at 5plus yesterday to arrange a meet up today. There were absolutely no replies after waiting till I slept. I decided to drop her another message and we arranged to meet at Woodlands MRT Station at 1pm.



After agreeing on 1pm,she decided to switch to 2.15pm. I was annoyed of course. But I decided to have my lunch and go with 2.15pm.

I was pissed off but I didn't show it because it was the supplier's fault. So... I told her not to worry about it. 

I feel like flipping tables at Starbucks at that point of time. I decided to wait for her because I already reached woodlands for quite some time(I live in Yishun) and I was at Starbucks with a friend who was studying. I had accompaniment so I was fine with waiting as there was someone to chat with. 

And then I collected my cardigan and dress from her and left. She muttered sorry.

 
 This is what I ordered. A grey knitted cardigan.

This is how it is supposed to look like.

I opened the packaging in Starbucks and it was just horrifying to see that what I received was different from the picture. To make matters worse,my friend started laughing.

And I wore it together with an outift I'm going to wear tomorrow. 
You tell me got same as the picture she provide annot.

I am not sure if she had given me the wrong item and hence I clarified my doubt.


She then sent me pictures and I told her maybe it's because of lightning differences. 算了。My dress didn't fit me also but that's not her fault because I didn't bother to measure before purchasing from her.

I then leave her a negative feedback on Carousell. I typed everything in an objective manner and according to how I feel.

And after a few minutes ... Looked who's angry and replied??

Oh okay making me sound like the one who is in the wrong instead of apologizing. Well done. Is it my fault you can't handle work and studies? Is it my fault that your customers spam you and you can't deal with them?? Is it my fault you gave your customers the wrong dress?? Might as well say MH370 missing is my fault right? Yes,it was kind of you to offer to send it to my blk BUT I was already at Woodlands WAITING for your items. 

 Decides to leave a negative review for me because I left one for her. Oh I'm not patient,that's right. I waited a few hours for you to get back to me and I waited at Woodlands for so long. That's right I am not patient.Is it my fault you didn't have time to go to your supplier? Is it my fault you taking your majors this year? I did not complain she is late through the entire thing. I was PISSED that she changed the timings at such late notice. I have my plans too. The world does not revolves around her. 

Continued from the previous screenshot. ''.. I hope you can be more objective when you leave feedback and do some self reflection.'' 

Sensing her anger and not wanting to end things bad,I decide to send her a message to clarify things and explain from my point of view. Note that I was VERY POLITE and I was containing all the explicit languages in my head. 

Okay fine is there a need to get so worked up?? Do you really think i give a shit about how you need the money for tuition? That is YOUR problem. Sorry if I sound unsympathetic but this is damn unprofessional,bringing personal problems into this.Is it my fault you suck at studies and need tuition? My fault you can't do well in school? 

Wow that smiley face. Putting words in my mouth. Waiting for customers is 天经地义 because you are getting paid by them. And she keep saying she's not late. Hello? I throughout the whole conversation I never say you late okay. 

Sorry Meijun I say you're not my friend. I don't want let her win. LOL. Low profits means bad customer service? Like that all the shops in China close down liao lor. How can you assume I am free?? ''I'm okay with the negative feedback,it's can't be compared to my others positive feedback though.'' Look at that attitude man. 

what she really meant :'' I have so much good reviews. Who cares about your negative review?''

Is this the way retail shops should treat their customers? Yeah she not a retail shop but still.. You got see ZARA or Forever 21 or blogshops talk to their customers like that???



 ''When am I having a bad customer service when its just the timing prob?'' YOU ARE WRONG GIRL. From the way you behave,the service is bad. Let's say you go order food,the food 2 hours later then come. Is not bad service is what? Timing problem isit? I am a very demanding customer??? NO. I did online shopping for so long and you are the FIRST person who said so. 

I believe I HAVE been very POLITE in all my replies and I tried to be as nice as possible and look at the way she replies me. I did reflect and asked many people BUT I AM NOT IN THE WRONG. Not I say one. People say one. I where got say anything about her future? Now I worry for her english comprehension. The contract was merely an analogy and she feels I'm talking about her future. LOL. Of course your future doesn't concern me. Your existence as a human being doesn't even concern me. ( Then why tell me you poor?? Since you know I don't care) 

It's okay I CAN always shop elsewhere. I am sure other shops can deal with my ''high'' demands.

Dear all,I am not making a ruckus out of nothing. I am just really pissed off with this girl and her self righteous attitude and the need to defend herself. I have never spent so much effort in a blogpost and I've been blogging for quite some time,taking the time to screen shot messages and all. You can tell how infuriated I am. Quite proud I never scold her FUCK U even though I wanted to. Very very badly.

1) Customer is always right 
As long as they are the ones paying,this applies to nearly all situations unless your modesty is being outraged by the customer.

2)Attitude is everything
I am more pissed by her attitude then the fact that my cardigan and dress is not up to standard. I can understand because online shops are unpredictable. Typing a long message to defend yourself,I rather a ''Sorry,I will work on it.'' to solve the conflict. But no,she choose to be self righteous. OOPSIE. I suppose that is human nature,to defend yourself rather to admit you're wrong.

3)Time is important
Whether you are a prime minister,a student,a policeman,as long as you are a human,time is everything. When you lose 60 seconds,you're never getting it back again in your life. When you are a business student,you will understand this even more. Say sign contract,2pm means 2pm. You can't tell your client,'' eh sorry ah my colleague forget print contract,2.30pm can?'' You will probably no need go back to work the next day. 1pm. Then 2.15pm. YAY I HAVE A LOT OF TIME WOOOOO

4)Online Shopping sucks
because such people exists.
